A refurbishment project, Sheffield Children’s Hospital Aseptic Suite comprised of the removal of the existing Aseptic Suite, first commissioned in 1998 and replacement of the same to conform with modern design standards.
Requirements
The scheme includes an Aseptic suite of over 285 sq m and consists of 2 negative pressure isolators for Monoclonal antibody (MABS) room/Cytotoxic (CYTO) room and 3 positive pressure isolators in the AB Rooms and 2 Horizontal Laminar Flow Cabinets (HLAF’s).
Outcome
Lami Doors UK Ltd, working alongside Bassaire Cleanrooms Ltd provided product knowledge and project management experience before and whilst supplying hygienic, water resistant GRP Doors from the KAS and KRS ranges. The Lami Type KAS and KRS Doors are located on the perimeters and within the Aseptic Suite and play an important role of maintaining the strict and specific standards of cleanliness used in the preparation of injectable medicines within the suite.
