A new build project, the Global Technology Innovation Centre (GTIC) of Kerry Group comprised of a 25,000m2 construction spread over four storeys. The new centre becomes the European Headquarters for the business.

Requirements

Hygienic and durable doors were needed for the 8,500m2 of laboratories within the R&D space, since these are the areas requiring the most robust products to cope with the environment in which they are being used.

Outcome

Lami Doors UK Ltd, working alongside the nominated clean room fit out contractor Modubuild Ltd, provided extensive project knowledge and subsequently manufactured, supplied and installed specialist Hygienic LAMI GRP Doors. 

The state of the art facility hosts a variety of carefully developed spaces including, office accommodation, customer care areas, meeting rooms and research and development areas. The building has since become a benchmark for the procurement of large scale projects and won the Engineering Project of the Year Award at the Engineers Ireland Excellence Awards.
